Common in Europe. Invasive species in Bay Area. Often found near Miner's lettuce. Similar in flavor and nutrients. Better when there are no flowers.

Hairs run up one side of the stem. Opposite, basil-like leaf shape. Telltale sign is the "thread" that runs through the stem.

Ground-coverish (grows in a mat). High in chlorophyll. Can be used to dye food.
