Daeho Kalbijjim & Beef Soup

As the name suggests, specializes in 갈비찜. Beefy, flavorful, and over-the-top. All of the Yelp-ers recommend getting it with the torched mozzarella cheese, which sounds both wrong and excessive, but in some ways, that's what this place is about. I love the fact that it focuses on a limited number of beef dishes and nothing else. We need more places like this in San Francisco.

Good place to gather with a group — one order comfortably feeds four, and if you get the extras, could easily accommodate five, maybe six.

Jessica and I tried it for the first time. We got it with 떡 and 당면. Expensive, a little sweet for our taste, but solid. Beefy, good quality, a little over-the-top.
