Dulles Airport

Near Herndon and Reston, VA. To get to D.C., take Metro Bus 5A East from 2E at the airport to Rosslyn Metro stop. This bus also has a stop right next to the Washington Dulles Marriott, where I stayed September 24-26, 2006, and which is right next to the airport.

Shaw

Named for Colonel Eekim:Robert Gould Shaw. Home of Howard University. Duke Ellington grew up here. Ben's Chili Bowl a good place to get chili. Bill Cosby supposedly loves this place. (Source: United Hemispheres, April 2005, p42)

Stayed at Holiday Inn (Mass. Ave. at Thomas Circle N.W.), which doesn't seem to exist anymore.
