My favorite part about visiting [[Phoenix]] is seeing all of the saguaro, which are found only in the Sonoran Desert of Arizona, California, and Mexico.  ([http://www.nps.gov/sagu/ Saguaro National Park] is near Tucson.)  They weigh more than eight tons and reach 50 feet (after 200 years).  There's a good brief piece about them in the April 2005 issue of ''[http://www.hemispheresmagazine.com/ United Hemispheres]'' (p34). {nid IN2}
