Welsh breakfast "cakes." Essentially a seaweed paste made from laver that's mixed with oats and sauteed in bacon fat.

Recipe

  1. Simmer fresh seaweed for 6 hours over low heat or in a slow cooker until it turns into a dark paste. Add lemon juice as it simmers.
  2. Combine the seaweed paste with oats, form small cakes.
  3. Sautee in bacon fat or other oil.
