Infuses food with a coconut-like aroma when used as a wrapper. Good with rice and fish.

Can also be dried and used for tea.

Supposedly great for diabetics, because it prevents insulin spikes.

Notes

We saw them at Knoll Farms at the Farmer's Market on November 5, 2011 and decided to buy one. Made sticky rice with it, and it really smelled and tasted great. The leaf itself is a bit fibrous, although it apparently is edible. Perhaps if it were blanched or brined, it would be more pleasant to eat on its own.
