Historic restaurant in Pescadero, California. It's overhyped and overpriced. The food is decent.

Order the green chile and artichokes soup as a single dish (they're usually separate, but you can get them combined). In fact, you may be better off ordering two separate half bowls of each and mixing them yourself, as they seem to skimp a bit on the artichoke soup for the sake of design.

The fried smelts are excellent.

The crab melt was good, but overpriced.

To try:

  • Fried abalone sandwich. ($25!)

They serve Bay Bread here, which was one of the highlights of the meal.
