Chili lime syrup

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • juice from 2 limes

Add water, sugar, and chili powder to a pot. Boil, and reduce to desired thickness. Mix in lime juice and let cool.

Notes

I originally made this as an accompaniment to a corn ice cream and basil ice cream sundae on August 11, 2010, and it was really delicious! I would have reduced it a bit longer, though.
