Unspoiled estuary between Bolinas and Stinson Beach, California just off Highway 1. Part of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Greater Farallones National Marine Sanctuary. Supports many important species, including many birds and harbor seals.

The Bob Stewart Trail, which goes along the Pine Gulch Creek Delta, is on the Bolinas side of the lagoon just off of Olema-Bolinas Road. It usually has a large concentration of birds.

Audubon Canyon Ranch is a nature center on the eastern edge of the lagoon, and it includes an additional eight miles of trails.
