New York/Queens

From Burden's Landing

Flushing

Like being in Asia!

At the end of the 7. Home of Citi Field, where the Mets play. Queens Night Market is right next to Citi Field. Open Saturdays from 4pm-midnight.

Downtown

Joe's Steam Rice Roll is just outside the subway station in the Landmark Quest Mall (across the street from the New World Mall). They just sell steam rice rolls. They're good. Go here.

The food court at the New World Mall is amazing. We ate at Lanzou Handmade Noodle, which is excellent.

Nan Xiang Soup Dumplings used to be a hole-in-the-wall, but they've since blown up. Still excellent.

Old Street Pan Fried Dumpling is a street food counter with tasty looking dumplings and meat products. The sign is in Chinese, but you can't miss it. We didn't have time (or the stomach capacity) to try it this time, but I plan on it the next time I'm there.

Chung Moo Rollrice and Dongas is a Korean hole-in-the-wall that's been there forever. Again, didn't have time to try it, but will next time.

Murray Hill

Where all the good Korean restaurants are.

We ate at Daesung Korean Noodle.

Annie Kim recommends Hahm Ji Bach for Korean BBQ.

Jackson Heights

  • Lily recommends Phayul for Tibetan dumplings and noodles.
